Lovely fresh colour, showing 2 crisply struck part strike(s) of the Perkins Bacon "CANCELLED" handstamp

Position 3 from the original vertical blocks of six (2x3) prepared for presentation to Ormond Hill (nephew of Rowland Hill) in August 1861.

Previously unrecorded position 3, 5 examples now known, including one in the Royal Philatelic Collection.

New B.P.A Certificate
