King Edward VII

King Edward VII reigned from 22 January 1901 to 6 May 1910

When Edward VII succeeded to the throne, new stamps became necessary. The approach was very conservative however: most of the Jubilee frames were reused, and the image of the King was still a single profile.

Although no major changes of design, Edward's reign did see the introduction of chalk-surfaced paper.
